Sustainable clothing manufacturer
Becoming a sustainable company was on the to-do list of most companies. Some go a long way in implementing systems for a greener, more worker-friendly environment, while others make it easy through greenwashing and inaccurate reporting. In this article, you will learn how to identify sustainable clothing manufacturers.
How to find ethical clothing manufacturers
When thinking about how to find sustainable clothing manufacturers, ask each potential supplier you contact the following 3 questions:
• Certificates of substances
• Certificates of social responsibility
• Factory visits
It goes without saying that the factories you work with must be sustainable clothing manufacturers UK to be truly sustainable. Don’t forget about sustainable fashion = ethical fashion. There should be no child or forced labour in your potential suppliers’ factories/factories.
If manufacturers consider the claim to be sustainable, they should at least have certificates for the fabrics, haberdashery, dyes, and sublimation inks used. The most common are OEKO-TEX 100, OEKO-TEX 1000, GOTS and GRS. We’ll cover them all in detail in some scrolls here.
The best ones can show you that they have a certificate of social responsibility.
But even if they have it all, if they don’t want to show you their factories, stay away. Something very suspicious is happening. However, you can visit our two plants in Serbia at any time.
You probably want more information on our minimum order quantity (MOQ). There are 150 pieces per design and/or colour in each size.
Find sustainable and ethical clothing manufacturers from scratch
A good place to start, like any other, is to do a Google search. This search engine has shown more and more relevant search results with each algorithm update, which means that this way you have a great chance of finding ethical manufacturers.
There are also good database websites. We find the “Common Objective” platform particularly interesting. Manufacturer profiles can be very informative, especially when it comes to sustainability. You can find manufacturer information on decent working conditions, animal-friendly practices, energy and water efficiency, chemical management, pollution reduction, recycling and waste, and more. Certified clothing manufacturers have their certificates uploaded to their profiles.
